  1. Convert your audition video into an acceptable format (See below, for acceptable file formats.)
  2. Create an account, log in, and click “Upload video.”
  3. You will be prompted to “Choose File,” in one of the supported formats (.flv, .mov, .avi, .wmv, .mpeg4, .mp4, & .mpeg)
  4. Once you have titled and described your audition video, click “Upload Video.” Once the uploading has been completed, check your audition video by going to “My Videos.”

We accept audition video in a wide range of popular formats, including FLV’s, QuickTime, Windows Media, and RealVideo. File formats include .flv, .mov, .avi, .wmv, .mpeg4, .mp4, & .mpeg
The fastest way to get your audition videos into an awards show is to submit each file in MPEG4 format with MP3 audio or MPEG2 format with MP3 audio.
It is important to note that some formats may cause problems due to codec differences, and in certain cases, we may not be able to add your audition video at all.

  • Here are our preferred audition video specs:
  • NTSC, deinterlaced
  • Video Codec: MPEG2 or MPEG4 (MPEG4 preferred)
  • Video Bitrate: at least 260Kbps (400kbps preferred)
  • Audio Codec: MP3
  • Audio Bitrate: at least 70Kbps (128 Kbps preferred)

You can upload as many audition videos as you like, with size or length limitations specified in our Video Plans. However, we do require the following: You must be operating on Windows 98SE or higher or, Mac 10.1 or higher. You’ll need a broadband connection to upload audition video.

  • The audition video must be in a format we accept. (See above.)
  • The audition video must contain recognizable video content. (Video container files that do not contain video will not be accepted).
  • The frame rate should be above 12 frames per second.
  • The audition video metadata must be accurate and relevant to the content you upload. (No spam!)
  • The audition video must be at least 10 seconds long.
  • There is a “delete” function on the “My Videos” page that can be found under “Actions.” The audition video will be deleted immediately and permanently from your account.

Animals – Do you have a pet that does amazing tricks? This is the category for you!

Band – Two or more people making music with instruments, with or without vocals

Best Hair Stylist – Do you think that you have what it takes to work with Celebrities, A-Listers and Hipsters? Post your audition video in this category of your best hairstyle.

Cheerleading – Any cheer routine, with one or more participants.

Comedy – Notice: This category may contain inappropriate content and language not suitable for minors. Are you the next Jerry Seinfeld, George Lopez or Louis Black? This category is for any comedy routine, stand up, skit, or act.

Dance – self-explanatory, this category is for all dance routines, modern, jazz, ballet, hip-hop with one or more participants.

Extreme Sports – are those, which are characteristically thrilling, owing to the high level of risk involved. They often include extremes of physical exertion or speed, or height. Do you have an audition video of skateboarding, para-sailing, snowboarding, motocross, bicycle tricks, etc…? This is the place.

Funniest Video – Have a funny audition video like on Americas Funniest Videos? This is the category for you!

Magic – All magic acts, card tricks, levitation, sawing people in half, making things disappear. This is the category for you!

Marching Band – This one is self explanatory; this category is for any marching band routine, high school, college, or any other level.

Solo Instrument – One person playing any instrument, with or without vocals.

Spokes model – Do you have the physical appearance that contributes to brand equity, perhaps to be our next 2B A Rising Star Spokes person? Upload an audition video of yourself explaining why you should be considered to be our next Spokes model.

Vocals – Solo or group vocals, with or without musical accompaniment.

The 2B A Rising Star will take the liberty of disqualifying any entrée and removing the audition video from our website if we feel it is inappropriate or in bad taste. We will also not accept any audition video that is hate based, or shows any type of criminal behavior. The discretion of the 2B A Rising Star is the final say in all cases.
